Announcements for the Month:

• 11/9 Joint Worship. We will be having a joint worship service with the English and Chinese congregations, starting at 10:30 am. Here are the activities to be aware of that day:

  • • Children's "Chinese Culture" class and Adult's "Parenting" class will still be meeting at 9:30 am, but will end early at 10:30 am. 

    • Children's Sunday School will follow the Children's Class during the joint worship service at 10:30 am. 

    • There will not be Youth Sunday School at 11:00 am, as they will join the joint service at 10:30 am. 

    • There will not be Adult Sunday School or Discipleship Class at 11:05, as they will join the joint service at 10:30 am.

    • There will not be Connections time that week.

• Children's Christmas Choir performing in Joint Service on 12/21: Lauren and Emma sent an email regarding a Children's Christmas Choir for pre-school thru elementary aged kids. Please reply to the email from Lauren as we hope to get a head count for how many kids want to participate. If your kid(s) would like to participate, please let Lauren or Emma know by November 23, by replying to their email or telling them at church. If you didn't get the email, let Brodie know and we can connect you.

• Interested in getting baptized this Christmas? If you are interested in getting baptized (targeting 2 Sundays before Christmas Day), please let Brodie know.

• Interested in volunteering for bringing snacks during Connections? We are short on volunteers for November and December. Here is the voluntary sign-up Google sheet.

• Children's Worship and Elementary Sunday School needs helpers. Our class sizes are growing, so our teachers need assistants to help hand out materials and help with kids going to the restroom. No experience required, but we will require a background check. Contact Amy if you can assist.

• Parking on the street for the church and ministry center: As a courtesy to our neighbors, please avoid parking in front of their mailboxes. Some deliveries are made on the weekends and we don't want to block access to mailboxes or walkways.

Current Ways to Connect:

• Men's, Women's, and Combined small groups + fellowships are in full swing. If you have interest in learning more about the schedule, please contact Sir Sain or Penny L or Brodie. Here's the schedule:

  • • 1st weekend: Young family fellowships.

    • 1st and 3rd Friday nights (pilot thru the end of this year): *New* Worship and Prayer series. During these gatherings, we will spend time singing worship songs and praying together about various topics. We will be meeting in the big garage in the Ministry Center at 7 pm. Contact Sam if you have questions.

    • 2nd and 4th Friday nights: English Bible Study. Open to all adults (College and up). We will have a childcare rotation if you bring your kids. If you are interested in joining a Bible Study group, reach out to Mike.

    • Monthly: Men and Women fellowships meet separately. Contact Sir Sain and Penny if you are interested on being added to the email invitation list.

    • Monthly: If you are parents where at least one of your children is 5 years old or younger, and you want to join a Young Families Small Group, please contact Brodie.

• Connections snack and fellowship on Sundays after English Worship. 

  • • Connections Sign-up sheet: For those interested in signing up for providing snacks during Connections time, please use this Google sheet.

• Church-lunch on second Sundays of each month.

Current Opportunities to Serve:

• If you are interested in playing an instrument in the sanctuary during the postlude (the time after announcements as we transition to Connections time), please contact Andrew. 

• If you are interested in being a supporting singer to the worship leader, please contact Andrew. 

• We are in need of volunteers to teach/help with Children's Worship and Sunday School. If you are interested in serving in this area, please contact Corina, Stephanie, or Amy.

• If you are interested in serving in the Audio/Visual team, please contact Andrew or Jeff. Training will be provided, so no experience required.

• Donations for Children’s Rooms: We are taking donations for the RSDA cry room + kid’s rooms and Ministry Center kid’s room. We are seeking toys, books, and furniture in new or good working condition. Take pictures of the items and send them to Mike for review. If purchasing new, please have item approved before buying to prevent duplicates or insufficient space.

Standing Announcements for Sunday Worship:

• The following Sunday ministries are active:

  • • English Worship Service at 9:30 am.

    • Children's Worship (2 years old through fifth grade) starts in the sanctuary for worship singing with the adults at 9:30am and then move downstairs from 9:45-10:30am for children's activities.

    • Adult Sunday School class will meet in the Church Office from 11-12:30pm.

    • Discipleship Class will meet in September thru mid-November in the Church Office from 11:05-12:30 pm.

    • Youth (middle and high school) Sunday School class will meet in the Fellowship Hall from 11-12:30pm. 

    • Children's Sunday School classes (2 years old through fifth grade) will meet in the classrooms downstairs from 11-12:30pm.

• Current church guidance is: if ANY member of your family is ill, please keep your entire family at home. If you have had direct exposure to a COVID positive case, please come back after testing negative or being asymptomatic.
