Announcements

Announcements for the Month:

• The church's 30 year anniversary will be celebrated the 2nd weekend in October. 

  • • October 11: Dinner Banquet at Diamond Bay restaurant in the International District. All seats in the bus have been claimed, so if you reserved a seat, please park in the church parking lot before 5:30 pm. The bus will leave at 5:30 pm sharp and will not be waiting for anyone.  The program begins at 6:30 pm and will end at 8:30 pm. 

    • October 12: Community service opportunities for inviting the community to our church are available for those interested.

    • October 13: Special celebration joint worship service (English and Chinese together) starting at 10:30 am.

• For those interested in getting baptized in December 2024 or April 2025, or for those just wanting to learn the basics of the Christian faith, we plan to start up a series of 6 classes starting October 20.  Please let Brodie know if you are interested. Please commit to attending all 6 classes. Make-up work is possible if you are not able to attend.

• Men's, Women's, and Combined small groups + fellowships will be starting up in the Fall. If you have interest in learning more about the schedule, please contact Sir Sain or Penny L or Brodie. Here's the schedule:

  • • 1st weekend: Young family fellowships.

    • 2nd and 4th Friday nights: English-wide Small Group 

    • 3rd week (mid-week): Men and Women fellowships meet separately.

• Bible Study group will be meeting 2nd and 4th Friday nights:

  • Open to all adults (College and up). We will have a child care rotation if you bring your kids.

  • Kick-off on the 4th Friday of October (25th) for group orientation and fellowship.

Current Opportunities to Serve:

• If you are interested in playing an instrument in the sanctuary during the postlude (the time after announcements as we transition to Connections time), please contact Andrew. 

• If you are interested in being a supporting singer to the worship leader, please contact Andrew. 

• We are in need of volunteers to teach/help with Children's Worship and Sunday School. If you are interested in serving in this area, please contact Corina, Stephanie, or Amy.

• If you are interested in serving in the Audio/Visual team, please contact Andrew or Jeff. Training will be provided, so no experience required.

• For those interested in signing up for providing snacks during Connections time, please use this Google sheet.

Standing Announcements for Sunday Worship:

• The following Sunday ministries are active:

  • • English Worship Service at 9:30 am.

    • Children's Worship (2 years old through fifth grade) starts in the sanctuary for worship singing with the adults at 9:30am and then move downstairs from 9:45-10:30am for children's activities.

    • Connections snack and fellowship on Sundays after English Worship.

    • Church-lunch on second Sundays of each month.

    • Adult Sunday School class will meet in the Church Office from 11-12:30pm.

    • Youth (middle and high school) Sunday School class will meet in the Fellowship Hall from 11-12:30pm. 

    • Children's Sunday School classes (2 years old through fifth grade) will meet in the classrooms downstairs from 11-12:30pm.

• If you are looking to join an adult small group, please contact Sir Sain or Penny L. 

• Current church guidance is: if ANY member of your family is ill, please keep your entire family at home. If you have had direct exposure to a COVID positive case, please come back after testing negative or being asymptomatic.
