Announcements for the Month:

• Schedule Adjustments to Upcoming Gatherings: Here is our small group meeting schedules thru the end of the year:

  • Friday, November 28: No Bible Study, as it is the day after Thanksgiving

  • Friday, December 5: Prayer and Worship night at the Ministry Center at 7 pm. 2417 NE 27th St, Renton, WA 98056  

  • Friday, December 12: Bible Study at a church member's home. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Reach out to Mike to be added to the WhatsApp group.

  • Friday, December 19: Prayer and Worship night at the Ministry Center at 7 pm. 2417 NE 27th St, Renton, WA 98056  

  • Friday, November 26: No Bible Study, as it is the day after Christmas

• Christmas Dessert and White Elephant Gift Exchange on 12/14: As Sunday, December 14 is the 2nd Sunday of the month, we have our monthly church lunch after 2nd service. Following lunch, we will have our English Ministry Christmas party in the church office from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Each family is invited to bring a dessert or drinks to share. It will be cozy, so if you want to participate in the white elephant gift exchange, please bring a wrapped gift not exceeding $20. To get a sense of how many people will participate in the gift exchange, let Brodie know by email or in person by 12/7.

• Children's Christmas Choir performing in Joint Service on 12/21: Practices will be held on December 7, 14, 21. If you didn't get the email from Lauren and Emma and your kids want to join, let Brodie know and we can connect you.

• Joint Christmas Eve Service on 12/24: There will be a join Chinese + English Christmas Eve service in the evening of December 24 at the church. More details coming soon on time the service begins.

• Interested in volunteering for bringing snacks during Connections? We are short on volunteers for November and December. Here is the voluntary sign-up Google sheet.

• Parking on the street for the church and ministry center: As a courtesy to our neighbors, please avoid parking in front of their mailboxes. Some deliveries are made on the weekends and we don't want to block access to mailboxes or walkways.

Current Ways to Connect:

• Men's, Women's, and Combined small groups + fellowships are in full swing. If you have interest in learning more about the schedule, please contact Sir Sain or Penny L or Brodie. Here's the schedule:

  • • 1st weekend: Young family fellowships.

    • 1st and 3rd Friday nights (pilot thru the end of this year): *New* Worship and Prayer series. During these gatherings, we will spend time singing worship songs and praying together about various topics. We will be meeting in the big garage in the Ministry Center at 7 pm. Contact Sam if you have questions.

    • 2nd and 4th Friday nights: English Bible Study. Open to all adults (College and up). We will have a childcare rotation if you bring your kids. If you are interested in joining a Bible Study group, reach out to Mike.

    • Monthly: Men and Women fellowships meet separately. Contact Sir Sain and Penny if you are interested on being added to the email invitation list.

    • Monthly: If you are parents where at least one of your children is 5 years old or younger, and you want to join a Young Families Small Group, please contact Brodie.

• Connections snack and fellowship on Sundays after English Worship. 

  • • Connections Sign-up sheet: For those interested in signing up for providing snacks during Connections time, please use this Google sheet.

• Church-lunch on second Sundays of each month.

Current Opportunities to Serve:

• If you are interested in playing an instrument in the sanctuary during the postlude (the time after announcements as we transition to Connections time), please contact Andrew. 

• If you are interested in being a supporting singer to the worship leader, please contact Andrew. 

• We are in need of volunteers to teach/help with Children's Worship and Sunday School. If you are interested in serving in this area, please contact Corina, Stephanie, or Amy. We need teachers in particular. Volunteer teachers will require a background check. Contact Amy if you can assist.

• If you are interested in serving in the Audio/Visual team, please contact Andrew or Jeff. Training will be provided, so no experience required.

• Donations for Children’s Rooms: We are taking donations for the RSDA cry room + kid’s rooms and Ministry Center kid’s room. We are seeking toys, books, and furniture in new or good working condition. Take pictures of the items and send them to Mike for review. If purchasing new, please have item approved before buying to prevent duplicates or insufficient space.

Standing Announcements for Sunday Worship:

• The following Sunday ministries are active:

  • • English Worship Service at 9:30 am.

    • Children's Worship (2 years old through fifth grade) starts in the sanctuary for worship singing with the adults at 9:30am and then move downstairs from 9:45-10:30am for children's activities.

    • Adult Sunday School class will meet in the Church Office from 11-12:30pm.

    • Youth (middle and high school) Sunday School class will meet in the Fellowship Hall from 11-12:30pm. 

    • Children's Sunday School classes (2 years old through fifth grade) will meet in the classrooms downstairs from 11-12:30pm.

• Current church guidance is: if ANY member of your family is ill, please keep your entire family at home. If you have had direct exposure to a COVID positive case, please come back after testing negative or being asymptomatic.
