"Tell us what the former things were, so that we may consider them and know their final outcome. Or declare to us the things to come..." Isaiah 41:22
Announcements for the Month:
Church Membership records refresh: Church membership is granted either through baptism at our church or through completing an application form. We would like to undergo a records clean-up effort in the first quarter of the year, which may result in having some church members having to complete an application again. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are trying to convert to digital records. Instructions are forthcoming from Brodie and Fanny
Easter events:
Sign Up for Family Fellowship that meets 3rd Sunday of each month: In 2026, we are adjusting our "Young Families Fellowship" to expand to be our "Families Fellowship." The Family Fellowship meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 4 pm to 7 pm for a potluck and then break up into smaller discussion groups on family-themed topics.
Here are the 2 breakout groups you can choose from:
We will be supplying each family one copy of the book for the break-out group they sign-up for. As the church is covering the book cost, we ask that you commit to attend as many gatherings as you can. Please RSVP your copy of the book with Brodie and Fanny by specifying which breakout group you want to join. To secure your book, please RSVP by the first Sunday of February (February 1st).
These will be peer led discussion groups. We will rotate discussion facilitation around the group. If you want to co-facilitate with your spouse, you can. Preparation for all members is just reading the chapter in advance of the monthly meeting.
Mini-Service is back: Elementary aged kids are invited to join the Worship Service every 2nd Sunday at 11:00 am. Instead of going to class, all Elementary Sunday School students will start in the sanctuary for a time of worship singing and a short mini-sermon. After that, they will be escorted back to their classrooms for the rest of class time. Contact Amy if you have any questions.
2025 Giving Summaries are ready to be emailed by request: If you would like your 2025 giving summary (i.e. offerings and tithes) emailed to you, please send an email to Brodie. Please expect a response within a week after your request.
We need teachers for Elementary Sunday School: Volunteer teachers will require a background check. Contact Amy if you are interested in serving in this ministry.
Want to be added to the WhatsApp group chat for upcoming gatherings and events? Reach out to Mike to be added to the Bible Study WhatsApp group.
Interested in volunteering for bringing snacks during Connections? Here is the voluntary sign-up Google sheet.
Parking on the street for the church and ministry center: As a courtesy to our neighbors, please avoid parking in front of their mailboxes. Some deliveries are made on the weekends and we don't want to block access to mailboxes or walkways.
Current Ways to Connect:
Men's, Women's, and Combined small groups + fellowships are in full swing. If you have interest in learning more about the schedule, please contact Sir Sain or Penny L or Brodie or Fanny. Here's the schedule:
1st and 3rd Friday nights: During these gatherings, we will spend time singing worship songs and praying together about various topics. We will be meeting in the big garage in the Ministry Center at 7 pm. Contact Sam if you have questions.
2nd and 4th Friday nights: English Bible Study. Open to all adults (College and up). We will have a childcare rotation if you bring your kids. If you are interested in joining a Bible Study group, reach out to Mike.
3rd Sundays: Family fellowships. We meet in the Ministry Center from 4 pm to 7 pm. Anyone at any stage of life that is interested in discussing topics that matter to families (e.g. Christian perspective on parenting and raising kids) is welcome. If you want to learn more, reach out to Brodie or Fanny.
Monthly: Men and Women fellowships meet separately. Contact Sir Sain and Penny if you are interested on being added to the email invitation list.
